ENJOY LIFE NOW~It’s later than you think …

Here’s a depressing thought … We Are All Dying

Gee that sucks but how true that is. The moment we are born, we begin to die.

When we say someone is terminally ill and we suggest they make amends with friends and loved ones, why can’t we see that in ourselves?

We are all terminally ill and we must live life now! The time to be happy is now!

Don’t put off telling that person that you love them. Don’t wait to marry the love of your life. Don’t wait until the “right” time to have children, have them now and make the family that you always wanted.

If you wait until the right time, that time will never come.

My father was a gun dealer and in his shop he had a sign that read, “Enjoy life, it’s later than you think.” As a kid, I never understood that but isn’t that really true. I can remember going to sleep last night and I was 8 years old. How did I wake up and become 50?

I lost my mother back in 2006 and when I asked her on her deathbed if she had any regrets, she said, “Only one. I should have said yes, when I said no.”

I have thought about that comment every day for the past eight years.

So, at 50 (I’ll be 51 in March) I decided to make a list of everything I ever wanted to do and just do it!

I hate the term bucket list but I guess you could call it that. Why not? We are all going to “kick the bucket” one day.

Here are three things  I have always wanted to do and I did them this year!

1. Last year I quit my job and said I wanted to become a bestselling author and have WEEDMONKEY hit the top 100 books in Amazon Memoirs. Guess what? I did it this year and Weedmonkey was on the bestseller list all year and is still selling.

2. I have always wanted to go to Harry Potter world in Orlando, Florida. I wanted to visit Hogwarts and walk the halls of the wizard’s school. I wanted to visit Hollywood Studios, Universal Studios and go back to Disney World and Animal Kingdom. I hadn’t been there since I was 10 years old.

Guess what? In October, I made this wish come true. It was the most amazing trip I have ever been on and I thought wow, that was easy. What do I want to do next?

3. I have always wanted to go to New York City at Christmas, see the Christmas tree, eat the best pizza (in Brooklyn) and go to a corner bakery. As a child, I had only driven through the city with my parents on our way to see relatives in New England.

Guess what? I did that yesterday and it was the first time in my life that my feet actually touched the ground of New York City! It was amazing!

PIZZA IN BROOKLYN

Next year, I have more plans and more dreams will be coming true.

What are you waiting for?

Cherish every moment right here and right now. Do things you have always wanted to do, go places, make a list and stick to it.

Please don’t wait until you are on your deathbed to make amends or to tell people that you love them. Love them now. Apologize now. Forgive them now. Do it now before it is too late. We are all dying.

Don’t wait until we are in the ground to realize that. Do it now while we are still above it.

When my mother was dying, she told me to never let anyone say that she had a long life for it wasn’t long enough.

Live now and be happy!

Let me know what you have always wanted to do and how you have made that dream come true. I’d love to hear from you! ♥
