VAMPIRES! Let’s talk about vampires! Sink your teeth into this one!

Happy Friday evening everyone!

Hope you had a good week and are looking forward to a nice Valentine’s weekend. We are probably going to a dance tomorrow night but not sure yet. Should be lots of fun if we go!

I have decided to start a topic every FRIDAY and I will be discussing different things that I think you may find interesting. I will still blog on other days during the week about other cool stuff and happenings too!

So have a great weekend and thanks so much for stopping by to say hello! 🙂

LET’S TALK ABOUT VAMPIRES!!!

Today I wanted to talk about something that is near and dear to my heart…VAMPIRES! When I was a little girl, my mom was a stay at home mom before she started her own antique shop. My brother and I were only 14 months apart and trying to find stuff for us to do was not always easy.

Every week, our local library would have movies in the afternoons and trying to keep us from getting bored, she would take us. I can still remember those old movies! Some were black and white and other sepia but one in particular that I remember was DRACULA. I will never ever forget it!

I think watching those movies got me started on my path of writing horror. I just loved them and even at that early age could sense the drama and romance of the vampire and the mysteries surrounding them.

Vampire…the word alone can strike fear in one’s heart and make another’s beat faster out of lust.

But what is it about these dark, mysterious creatures that have women (and men) in a frenzy?

Usually if you talk of a mysterious stranger entering your bedroom at night and seducing you into an ecstasy like you have never known, lavishing you with eternal life, draining you of your life force while offering theirs up for the taking…one would think you had gone mad or lost all sense of rational thinking.

But what about the not so nice vampires who are murderous fiends only out for one thing…kill and kill again. Savagely ripping out your throat, licking every last drop of blood from your now cold, dead body…then catching sight of another victim…and carelessly tossing you aside like yesterday’s garbage?

Do vampires exist or are they just make belief Hollywood nonsense?

I choose to believe they are real and they do indeed exist in one form or another.

My favorite vampire movies are THE LOST BOYS, INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE and NEAR DARK.

SO, WHAT IS A VAMPIRE?

According to Wise Geek:

“A vampire is a mythical creature which sustains itself by drinking the blood of living animals.

Most vampire myths center around the reanimation of human corpses, with the corpse preying on other humans for the blood it needs. Vampire mythology is ancient, with most cultures having some version of the vampire in their folklore, perhaps reflecting a universal desire to explore the ideas of death and dying.

The common thread in all vampire stories is that the creature must feed on human blood to survive, and typically it is created by being bitten by another vampire. In many myths, vampires are also described as immortal, and feats of great strength are often required to kill vampires; beheading, burning, exposure to sunlight, staking through the heart, and dismemberment are all presented as possible ways to kill a vampire in various myths.

Typically vampires are described as nocturnal, using the cover of night to conceal their activities and avoiding the sunlight, which is often described as harmful to vampires.

A plethora of myths surround vampires. According to some tales, vampires sleep in coffins, often coffins filled with earth. In other stories, vampires cannot cross running water, or enter a home without an invitation.

Vampires may also be sensitive to garlic, crosses, and holy water in some stories, and they classically prey on young, beautiful men and women. Some vampires can supposedly change into bats, wolves, and other animals in some stories, while others possess the power of flight, or are able to turn into vapor.

For the bulk of history, vampires have been described as dark, bloated corpses. In the 19th century, however, the popular mythology surrounding vampires began to shift, and they came to be described as cadaverously thin, extremely pale individuals, perhaps reflecting an increase of tuberculosis, a disease which sometimes caused people to resemble vampires, as they grew thin and pale and coughed up blood. In many modern stories, vampires are devastatingly attractive, using their beauty to lure their victims, and they are often portrayed as wealthy or aristocratic.

The universality of the vampire myth is rather intriguing to many anthropologists and historians. Researchers have suggested that the pervasiveness of certain aspects of the vampire myth may be related to a lack of understanding about the process of death and decomposition.

Historically, “corpses” sometimes did reanimate, because they weren’t actually dead, but no one realized this, due to shortcomings of the medical profession. Furthermore, bodies often appeared to shift in their tombs as they settled during the decomposition process, also becoming dark and bloated. Grave robbing would also have contributed to the illusion that bodies had gotten out of their graves overnight.”

~NEXT FRIDAY~

Let’s talk about WITCHES! We’ll explore the history of the witch and the modern day Wicans plus delve into the Salem Witch Trials and lots more!

My first book came out in paperback back in 2004. It was the Vampire novel, PUNCTURE

PUNCTURE

A hauntingly beautiful tale about vampire love and betrayal between a mortal and an undead.

Craving a taste for the dark side, Veronica gets more than she bargained for when she is seduced by Victor, an evil and dangerous vampire. His obsession with her runs her off the road to Heaven and soon she too will turn her back on righteousness.

Longing to be mortal again and trapped in the darkness of an immortal life, she struggles with knowing right from wrong, Heaven from Hell, and love from hate.

But when she discovers the truth about her dark prince, will it be too late? Will her new vampire friend help her destroy the only man she has ever loved? And why is he so willing to help her destroy him?

You will fall in love with the innocent Veronica and her search for love, feel her joy at rekindling an old flame and die with her as the love of her life becomes her murderer.

Victor is a charming but wicked vampire who could compel a corpse on the gallows to speak. We follow him as he preys on Veronica, senses her weakness and watch as he pounces on her and destroys her with just…one…puncture.

Every woman knows a man like Victor…

The original cover for PUNCTURE (paperback version)

Although my love for him at one time was beyond words, I had now become repulsed by the very sight of him. I had become remote from sunlight, love and laughter and all the sweetness of life. He had taken these things from me and after tonight, after my first kill, I knew there was no going back. I was imprisoned by the agony of being cut off from God, which to me is the true meaning of hell. I envied the saved and the righteous, I wanted to be a part of the living again. I will never, ever forget the look on that woman’s face as I released her from her earthly existence. I will have a long time to remember.

“Why do you fight it so?” Victor said as he rose, his usual sarcasm noticeably softened. “You have had time to adjust, have you not?”

“Adjust?” I shouted. “Adjust to being a killer? A monstrous fiend? I will never forgive you for what you have done to me. I want to awaken from this sleep of death. I want to feel warmth again, to love again, to live!”

“Never is a long time, even for us,” he sighed. “Don’t you realize the gift that I have given you, yes a gift. Let me read you something.” He reached into a drawer and pulled out a heavy black book. “Here it is…let me see…yes, here, listen to this:

But man dies and is laid low; man breathes his last and where is he? As water fails from the lake and a river wastes away and dries up, so man lies down and rises not again.

“Do you recognize those words Veronica? Well, you should, they come from the book that mortals have relied on for centuries to guide them, to fix them. I had those words and others like them shoved down my throat for years…I can still taste them. I have delivered you from the barren darkness of the grave, from your own private burial mound for the dead and you still refuse to thank me, to see it my way…the only way.”

He threw the book down on the bed. The words Holy Bible stared back up at me as if to shame me for what I have done.

REVIEWS FOR PUNCTURE

“Wow! This book blew me away. I have never read a story that captured the agony of love and abuse so vividly. Veronica is so fragile yet so strong. She kicks ass! Victor is a real wicked so and so but you can see why she loves him so and fights so hard to keep him. You love him but you hate him! The author really captured the internal fight Veronica feels as she struggles with her vampire life and her mortal heart. I actually cried for her. A great read! Highly recommended!!! ” Wilamena F. Maryland

“Never have I read a book that brings together romance, drama, and horror in such an engrossing and absorbing way. A great combination to complete a masterpiece of fiction that no book shelf should be without. Proulx makes the reader feel the anguish of her character Veronica in such a way that simple words can not do justice for. It simply must be read. Though short in stature this piece of fiction lacks nothing and carries the reader on a journey through the eyes of Veronica and her plight for normalcy in a chaotic world of vampires. A must have and a must read! Two enthusiastic thumbs up to Proulx! ” J.L.C. New Hampshire

“This book is so good, I could not put it down! I sorta felt that I was one with Veronica..I had a Victor, who sucked the life out of me. He was not a vampire but I also felt lost and alone except for him… This book makes me think of the power some men have over women and I think you did a good job with this!! ” Phyllis L. Florida

MEET AUTHOR CHRISTINE CUNNINGHAM!!! Author of the Week!

Hi everyone!

Well, a few days ago it was 70 degrees here in Maryland and last night we got snow! Not a whole lot but enough to make it cold and wet! It’s snowing out there again today but at least it is not as cold and hopefully Spring will be here soon!

Today I am starting my AUTHOR OF THE WEEK segment where I will be introducing you to a new author every week. All different genres are included and I think you will enjoy the fun mix of writers and authors I have put together. I got a great response and I look forward to you meeting some new people on the scene.

Have a great day and we’ll talk again soon! 🙂

AUTHOR OF THE WEEK

CHRISTINE CUNNINGHAM

Author Christine Cunningham

Christine is the author of ETERNAL BEGINNING, THIRTY-DAY GUIDE TO APPLY ETERNAL BEGINNING and FIRST SNOW

ETERNAL BEGINNING

Are you questioning your life’s path?  What are those pesky emotions for anyway? Each moment holds the chance to change whether or not we see the way. Find your guide to a sparkling life!

Review for ETERNAL BEGINNING

“Eternal Beginning is an uplifting, spiritual tale of one woman’s search for meaning in her life. While trying to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this woman finds herself confronted by what can only be described as her “guardian angel” who offers her advice on live, love, peace, and contentment. I found Eternal Beginning both refreshing and uplifting as it shed light on an otherwise dark day. This is an ideal read for anyone who feels the stress and frustration of everyday life. I read Eternal Beginning in one sitting and felt inspired at the end.”

THIRTY-DAY GUIDE TO APPLY ETERNAL BEGINNING

This book is designed to take you through a thirty-day guide to apply the lessons within the book, Eternal Beginning. Each day is divided by a quote from Eternal Beginning, the lesson to apply, a paragraph to motivate, and finally, an action step that will cement the lesson in place.

FIRST SNOW

Review for FIRST SNOW

“This is a sweet, fast-paced romance (read it in one night) that is set in a quaint, small town during Christmas. Family is a strong theme throughout the story. If you are looking for a shorter romance (about a 16k word novella) to help you get into the Christmas spirit, look no further! “

Christine decribes herself as someone who “writes fictional stories to uplift and inspire. I am a life-long student of happiness and how to attract it. I compile what I learn and weave it into an understandable and enjoyable story.”

I sat down with Christine and asked her what she felt was the secret to a happy and fulfilling life. That’s a heavy duty question but her answer was very inspiring and profound.  I loved her answer and I think you will too! 🙂

What is the secret to a happy and fulfilling life?

Choice. At first blush that may seem simplistic or even untrue. Bear with me and I’ll explain. I live by the philosophy that I attract everything that happens in my life. This means a few things to me:

1. I have control.
2. Everything that happens to me is good because it’s communication on my direction in life.
3. I can change in an instant.

This doesn’t mean I live in a cloud of eternal bliss sitting in the yoga lotus position all day. In fact, there are a few things that I have invited by choosing to attract by default that were downright unpleasant. After realizing what I was doing I could change the direction of my thoughts and then slip back into the vibe I prefer. How does that happen? Let me share my process.

1. I make it easy to be happy!
a. Listen to comedians
b. Take delight in small things like stickers or green lights during your commute.
c. Listen to uplifting music.
d. Surround yourself with happy people. If you are unable to choose who is around you physically then mentally surround yourself with positive people.

2. I mentally ask to feel a little better.
a. This means going from depressed to angry to frustrated to annoyed and so on. Each step makes me feel more in control and positive.

3. I review what mental question I was asking that allowed my mood to fall.
a. Why am I so stupid?
b. Why don’t I ever get what I want?

4. Then I begin to ask a better question.
a. What am I/can I learn from this situation?
b. How can I immediately benefit from this situation?
c. What evidence am I choosing to see or ignore and how is that affecting my outlook?

5. I take immediate action in a positive direction.
When the conscious choice is made to be happy and fulfilled, despite circumstances, the vivid splendor of life reveals its secret.

Wow, I think we can all learn a lot from this wise and talented young lady! I hope you get a chance to check out Christine’s books and visit her on her blog and stop by to say hello on FaceBook!

I highly recommend her!!!

Thank you Christine for stopping by today and CONGRATULATIONS on being AUTHOR OF THE WEEK!!! 🙂

VAMPIRE NOVEL~PUNCTURE~READ A FREE EXCERPT!!!

Happy Friday night!

Wow, two blogs in one day, no wonder it was 70 degrees here this week! 🙂

I wanted to share with you an excerpt from my vampire novel PUNCTURE.

What is PUNCTURE?

PUNCTURE

PUNCTURE is a hauntingly beautiful tale about vampire love and betrayal between a mortal and an undead.

But when she discovers the truth about her dark prince, will it be too late to save her angelic soul? Will her new vampire friend help her destroy the only man she has ever loved? And why is he so willing to help her destroy him?

You will fall in love with the innocent Veronica and her search for love, feel her joy at rekindling an old flame and die with her as the love of her life becomes her murderer.

Victor is a charming but wicked vampire who could compel a corpse on the gallows to speak. We follow him as he preys on Veronica, senses her weakness and watch as he pounces on her and destroys her with just…one…puncture.

Every woman knows a man like Victor

And now for your FREE excerpt:

Although my love for him at one time was beyond words, I had now become repulsed by the very sight of him. I had become remote from sunlight, love and laughter and all the sweetness of life. He had taken these things from me, and after tonight, after my first kill, I knew there was no going back. I was imprisoned by the agony of being cut off from God, which to me, was the true meaning of hell.

“Adjust to being a killer, a monstrous fiend? I will never forgive you for what you have done to me. I want to awaken from this sleep of death. I want to feel warmth again, to love again, to live!”

“Never is a long time, even for us”, he sighed. “Don’t you realize the gift that I have given you, yes a gift. Let me read you something.” He reached into a drawer and pulled  out a heavy black book. “Here it is…let me see…yes here, listen to this:

But man dies and is laid low; man breathes his last and where is he? As water fails from the lake and a river wastes away and dries up, so man lies down and rises not again.

“Do you recognize those words Veronica? Well, you should. They come from the book that mortals have relied on for centuries to guide them, to fix them.

MY NEW INTERVIEW!!! plus TIPS ON SELLING YOUR FICTION ARTICLE!!!

Happy Friday everyone!

That sounds a lot better than Happy Monday doesn’t it? 🙂

Well, we had a 70 degree day here in Maryland the other day and it was just enough to tease me and make me want summer even more! But it was nice to be out and about and not have to worry about putting on layers of coats! I even washed my hair on the back porch with the garden hose! Yes, yes, I guess I am a country girl at heart!

Hope you all enjoy your week and thanks for stopping by to say hello! 🙂

~RECENT HAPPENINGS~

I was recently interviewed by Lori Moore, the author of  From Zero to Christian in Just 35 Years, Missing Andy:  The Journey From Grief to Joy and Grady the Gray Cat.

It was a lot of fun and Lori is a really nice girl with some awesome books to read. In fact, Lori will be featured here on my blog in the next few weeks as an Author of the Week!

Here is my interview:

 http://www.loriamooreonline.com/blog/2012/02/02/An-Interview-with-Author-Lisa-V-Proulx.aspx

Also, look for me on April 2 when I will be the Author of the Week on Full Moon Bites! More on that later…

~AUTHOR OF THE WEEK~

Currently I have February and March filled but looking for spots for April! It is fun and painless and all you have to do is answer some interview questions of if you’d prefer, write a guest blog. If you are interested and I hope you are, please contact me at any of the sites below.

This Sunday I will be hosting author Christine Cunningham…so be sure to stop by and meet this talented author…

NEW BLOG DESIGN COMING SOON!!!

I have been doing a lot of thinking lately and decided to jazz up my blog a bit! I love the pink and the stars but want something else to really make my site pop!

I found some cool ideas and I am now in the process of learning more about the tech side of things. But look for a new design in the next few days. I think you will like the one I picked out!

~WHAT I AM WORKING ON~

I am getting ready to work on my next book. It starts off in 1800’s London and is about a child who is abducted from her family by her father’s stable hand. He is obsessed with the young girl and his twisted love for the child plunges her into a dark underworld that holds no escape for her.

Can you guess what’s coming next? If you know my books, you will know..

I am still in search of a title which is strange because that is usually the first thing that pops into my head when I think about writing another story.

~WHAT I AM READING~

I love to read and would love to have more time for it but I squeeze it in where I can. I feel that in order to be a good writer, a person must enjoy reading.

But the book that I am reading now is by Anne Rice who says (many times) in the book that she was never a very good reader. So, I guess there is hope for those of you out there who follow in her footsteps.

Her book, “CALLED OUT OF DARKNESS~A Spiritual Confession”, is her journey from growing up a good and obedient Catholic girl, to becoming an atheist, then at 57 years old, coming back to her faith.

It is a haunting memoir of her life growing up in New Orleans and how life can sometimes change your perception of what is faith and what if one day everything you believe in goes away.

FROM SELF~PUBLISHING TO AGENTED AUTHOR…AWESOME ARTICLE!!!

Hi Everyone!

Well, it was in the 60’s today here in Maryland, not bad for a January day! I took Kurgan and Harley out and played ball with them in the back yard. We had a blast!

I came across another cool article that I really enjoyed and I wanted to share it with you. It gave me a lot of hope as a self~published author and I hope it helps you too.

It’s called From “Self-Published Success to Agented Author.” Check it out!

http://www.writersdigest.com/editor-blogs/guide-to-literary-agents/from-self-published-success-to-agented-author?et_mid=531839&rid=3095933

I watched the movie “DEVIL”  last night which is about five people who get trapped in an elevator and soon discover, to their horror, that one of them is the devil! Ouch! It had some scary scenes that had me putting the covers over my eyes. Yes, yes, even though I write that stuff, I still get freaked out. If I don’t write it, I have no control over it! That’s why my characters don’t scare me, well sometimes they do but I tell them to cool it and they usually listen since they need me to tell their story! 🙂

AUTHOR INTERVIEW/GUEST BLOGS

February and March are totally filled now and I am looking for authors for April. Man, the year is going by so fast it seems. If you are interested, please see my contact info below.

MONTHLY CONTEST

It’s almost time to open up my monthly contest starting in February! Every month I will be giving away a FREE copy of one of my books, your choice.

The choices are (these will be repeated later)

THE RAINBOW WON’T WAIT

A dying mother’s advice for the obstinate daughter she is leaving behind.

When the author lost her mother in 2006, she could have been a better daughter. She tried to be the daughter that her mother wanted and needed at this time of sorrow but she didn’t know how to be that person.

In a collection of short pieces of advice, the author has put together words of comfort and wisdom that her Cherokee mother gave her over the years. She never knew at the time, that this advice would help her as she took care of a dying parent. It also served as a catalyst to help her regain her footing after a series of tragedies following her mother’s death, left her in a crippling, suicidal depression for three years.

A story of hope, inspiration and how a briar of a child became the flower that her mother always dreamed of…but died before she got a chance to see her bloom.

PUNCTURE

DRAGGED INTO DARKNESS

An abusive husband kills his wife then dies in prison and is sent to Hell. After making a deal with the devil, he must go through seven levels of Heaven to retrieve her and bring Satan back her soul. But the trip up to Heaven is not so easy for this murderer who is entangled in a business arrangement with the devil. The agreement involves two road maps, one to Heaven and one back down to Hell, bribing angels, being conned by demons, facing karmic debt and searching his way through a paradise where he is not welcome to find his dead wife and ruin her peaceful eternity.

BENEATH THE BATTLEFIELD

A civil war ghost story about a young soldier describing the horrors of war in letters to his mother back home. After fighting in the battle of Antietam, his life is forever changed and he becomes frightened by the changes around him.

KING OF SHADOWS

A dark and wispy tale of an angry and vicious man who is hell bent on raising his wayward son even though the man committed suicide and is no longer an earthly being but a demon hidden behind a veil of shadows.

Darien and Lucinda’s son died as an infant. The baby, whose soul was pure, rejected his evil father and his violent ways.

After enduring years of abuse, Lucinda has had enough. After she leaves Darien, she finds him dead from a gunshot wound to the head.

Nine months later she gives birth to another son, a son born of evil and ready and willing to be the child that Darien has longed for.

What follows is a hellish nightmare with a demonic son whose guidance from a long dead father he never knew, makes Lucinda’s life a living hell. A father who committed suicide and now a nobody, a lost soul, hidden behind a veil of shadows.

“10 WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR WRITING”…COOL ARTICLE!!!

Happy Monday evening!

All day long I have been thinking it was Tuesday! Well, what’s the old saying, lose a day, lose a friend, gain a day, gain a friend. So I guess I gained a friend somewhere! Hello, where are you? 🙂

Well, I think my car needs an exorcist! Maybe not but there is something strange going on there. I have an awesome purple PT Cruiser that I absolutely love!

I keep it pretty clean, at least it doesn’t look like Steve’s truck and someone lives in there! His excuse? “Honey, it’s a work truck, it’s supposed to be dirty!” 🙂

Today I was driving home and there was the worse smell coming from inside the car! It was putrid and oh so gross and as fast as it came on, it went away. It was not like rotten eggs so I think the catalytic converter might be okay but whatever it was, it was really gross!

Okay, the topic today is not about weird odors in cars but how to improve your writing.  I came across this groovy little article in Writer’s Digest that I wanted to share with you. No matter how good we are at writing 🙂 we could all use some tips.

It’s called “10 WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR WRITING” (While Thinking Like a Comedy Writer)

UPCOMING PUNCTURE NEWS

PUNCTURE

As you may know by now, my vampire novel PUNCTURE is my baby! It was first released back in 2004 in paperback and I have since “re~vamped” it and it was re~released as an eBook in October of last year.

I am currently working on a really cool book trailer that will be out very, very soon!

PLUS…get this…in the coming weeks, you will be introduced to the characters of PUNCTURE. That’s right, you are going to meet, in the flesh, Victor, Veronica, Aidan and Melissa.

Each week, I will post a photo of the image that I had in my mind as I writing this book. The characters are spot on and I could not find anyone better to portray my characters.

I am very excited to be able to introduce you to them so as you read this hauntingly beautiful tale of vampire love and betrayal between a mortal and an undead…you will be able to see first hand, the faces of the people you are reading about. How cool is that? 🙂

First up will be Victor Leatherman, charming lover…evil vampire…ruthless killer…dark prince of Veronica’s heart…her lover…her savoir…her murderer…her regret

WEIGHT WATCHERS NEWS

If anyone has been following my weight loss journey, I lost another .8 this morning at weigh in. Hey, it’s not earth shattering but at least the scale is going down, down, down…right where I want it to go. I want to reach my goal weight by my birthday March 18 and guess what…I think I might be pretty close! Yippee!!!! 🙂

SO YOU WANT TO WRITE A BOOK? FREE KINDLE eBOOK!

Hi everyone!

Hope you are enjoying your Sunday. It’s nice and sunny here in Maryland but the cold wind is blowing and I am freezing as usual!

I am not a phone person in any way shape or form! I have a cheap old cell phone because I am not really into techno stuff. You know the phone I am talking about, you get it cheap at Wal-Mart and add minutes to it?

Well, this morning I was in the middle of a very important call and I heard the familiar three little beeps…yep…the phone goes out, the minutes are gone and I feel like a total loser!

She emailed me about it and added “lol” but I wasn’t laughing. I was so embarrassed!!!

Anyhoo, I came across a FREE Kindle eBook today that I wanted to share with you. It’s called, “So You Want to Write a Book?” I did not write it nor have I read it but I did download it from Amazon and I am going to take a look at it.

The reviews say it’s very helpful and offers a lot of good writing/publishing/marketing advice.

Check it out! www.amazon.com/You-Want-Write-Book-ebook/dp/B004CRTE8Q/

~BOOK TRAILER NEWS~

Well, I have been looking into book trailers and I think they are pretty neat and I want to do one. So, I am working on one now for my vampire novel PUNCTURE. I have photos of what I imagine the characters to look like and man, they are so close, it is so neat to see my characters come to life.

PUNCTURE the "revamped" version of the original vampire novel that was first released in 2004!!!

I am putting it together and adding some finishing touches and it will be ready to publish very, very soon!

I am learning so much! Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? I am a rock~n~roll 70’s chick who didn’t even know what a blog was until recently now I am making movies! 🙂

~AUTHOR INTERVIEWS/GUEST BLOG~

Still looking for authors to interview for my March blog issue. Guest blogging is cool too if you are more comfortable doing that. February is already filled and March is filling up fast so come on! Drop me a line and let’s both get some exposure and publicity!

My first guest blog will be on February 5 and I will be hosting Christine Cunningham, author of the beautiful and inspirational book, “Eternal Beginnings”

MEET THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THE RAINBOW WON’T WAIT…

Hi again!

Well, it’s still cold out there and I am wearing two coats in the house. Crazy huh? But that is farm living in an old Victorian home!  I love it here though and wouldn’t have it any other way! 🙂

I wanted to introduce you to the inspiration behind my new book, THE RAINBOW WON’T WAIT, my mother Victoria.

This book was written after I lost my mom to cancer in 2006. It is a tribute to her and is very dear to my heart.

I hope those of you who knew her and those who have only heard me speak of her, will enjoy reading this book.

Her favorite saying was, “The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won’t wait while you do the work”…I got a lot of comfort from Ma’s advice over the years and I hope you find comfort here as well. 🙂

Now available in eBook on Amazon.com for only $1.99! http://www.amazon.com/The-Rainbow-Wont-Wait-ebook/dp/B006ZE6JIC/ref=sr_1_6?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1326985856&sr=1-6
