Hi everyone!
First off, I want to apologize for not being in touch for about a week. My niece is going through some serious medical issues and I have been spending time with her and hopefully being of some comfort to her. I helped my brother raise her and she is like a daughter to me.
It is in the 80’s here today in Maryland and soooooo hard for me to stay inside and work. But I got to lay out in the sun for awhile today and work on my tan.
I have a LOT of stuff to catch up on. I have two AUTHOR OF THE WEEK authors to introduce you to, plus a FREAKY FRIDAY edition, which I will get to in the next several blogs that I will be getting out tonight.
I am also creating a NEW blog called “LICK AND A PROMISE” to promote my upcoming book by the same name. The blog will be about rock stars, groupies, music, concert info and all sorts of photos and backstage juice! Plus I will be hosting ROCK STAR WEDNESDAY and every week will be introducing you to a band.
Also on FaceBook (see page link below) every Monday I have a PHOTO CAPTION CONTEST where the winner (who makes me laugh out loud) will win a FREE copy of one of my eBooks.
This week’s winners (I picked two) were author Jeanne Kalogridis and my belly dance instructor Barbara Burgos. Their comments made me laugh out loud and they each will win one of my books! 🙂
Today I have a lot of goodies for you!
So, thanks for following and stopping by to say hello! Talk soon! 🙂

PUNCTURE
5.0 out of 5 stars A GREAT READ!, March 5, 2012
By Sissy Williams/Write.n.Time –
“A great read is understated. The style of writing of Proulx makes you feel as if you are right there. Your emotions will range while you root for Veronica and sometimes feel for Victor. A must for anyone who has experienced abuse and a great ‘cautionary tale’ for those who haven’t! Brilliant! Thank you for another wonderful book Ms. Proulx!”
THE RAINBOW WON’T WAIT
“My dearest Lisa, I am sorry that it took me so long to read it, but I finally did (I guess I was kind of scared to) and it was a wonderful read!
I just finished reading “The Rainbow Won’t Wait” and I was so happy, sad, grateful, inspired, informed and even felt loved 🙂
I was so happy that you were able to write such a book, I am sure it wasn’t easy. I was happy that I had a chance to know the wonderful, kind, beautiful woman you called mother. I was happy to see everything that she as well as you have overcame. I was happy throughout the book 🙂 I was sad because of everything I didn’t know and all of the struggles you and your mother had to endure.
I was sad that I didn’t get to spend more time with this wonderful woman, Victoria. I was sad that we didn’t keep in touch as we should have 😦 I was sad during the book when she was and when you were.
My heart broke when yours did. It was a very touching book. I felt grateful while reading because I did have a chance to know your mother. I was grateful that I spent the time that I did chatting with her at your house or on the phone. I was really grateful for that! Also, felt and feel grateful to know a person (you) who has been through and overcame as much as you have and still come out a wonderful person.
I was inspired while reading to implement some of the advice your mother gave you into my own life and children. It’s amazing how we think about things as adults and we didn’t as children 🙂 Your mother had some wonderful advice and I think it will inspire many others as well.
I felt informed about her illness, because like so many others, we don’t think about those things until it’s too late or we just don’t care. I do care and was grateful for the information that you were able to share about what your mother was going through until her last breath.
Lastly I would like to say that I felt loved while I was reading this, I know this may sound funny to some but, I did. I mean I just felt the love all around (I know there were times it wasn’t so evident, but it all comes down to love in the end). I felt like since I was in such a small part of yours and your mom’s world that I too, was loved by you both.
I have always thought of you both and will always love you both for being so nice and kind to me when we first met way back in college 🙂 May you have continued success with life and family 🙂 Thanks again for writing this book, it is a wonderful way to remember not only one wonderful woman, but TWO!”
Wow! Two wonderful and inspiring reviews! Thank you both so much!!! 🙂
