Happy Monday evening!

All day long I have been thinking it was Tuesday! Well, what’s the old saying, lose a day, lose a friend, gain a day, gain a friend. So I guess I gained a friend somewhere! Hello, where are you? 🙂

Well, I think my car needs an exorcist! Maybe not but there is something strange going on there. I have an awesome purple PT Cruiser that I absolutely love!

I keep it pretty clean, at least it doesn’t look like Steve’s truck and someone lives in there! His excuse? “Honey, it’s a work truck, it’s supposed to be dirty!” 🙂

Today I was driving home and there was the worse smell coming from inside the car! It was putrid and oh so gross and as fast as it came on, it went away. It was not like rotten eggs so I think the catalytic converter might be okay but whatever it was, it was really gross!

Okay, the topic today is not about weird odors in cars but how to improve your writing.  I came across this groovy little article in Writer’s Digest that I wanted to share with you. No matter how good we are at writing 🙂 we could all use some tips.

It’s called “10 WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR WRITING” (While Thinking Like a Comedy Writer)

Check it out http://www.writersdigest.com/whats-new/10-ways-to-improve-your-writing-while-thinking-like-a-comedy-writer?et_mid=534520&rid=3095933

Okay, now I have February and March completely filled!!! Yippee!!! Who wants to sign up for April? Come on, it will be a lot of fun and painless, I promise. We could all use the exposure!

You can do a guest blog and write about anything you’d like or put in an an excerpt from your book or anything else you’d like to use to help promote your writing. My contact info is below…

As you may know by now, my vampire novel PUNCTURE is my baby! It was first released back in 2004 in paperback and I have since “re~vamped” it and it was re~released as an eBook in October of last year.
I am currently working on a really cool book trailer that will be out very, very soon!
PLUS…get this…in the coming weeks, you will be introduced to the characters of PUNCTURE. That’s right, you are going to meet, in the flesh, Victor, Veronica, Aidan and Melissa.
Each week, I will post a photo of the image that I had in my mind as I writing this book. The characters are spot on and I could not find anyone better to portray my characters.
I am very excited to be able to introduce you to them so as you read this hauntingly beautiful tale of vampire love and betrayal between a mortal and an undead…you will be able to see first hand, the faces of the people you are reading about. How cool is that? 🙂
First up will be Victor Leatherman, charming lover…evil vampire…ruthless killer…dark prince of Veronica’s heart…her lover…her savoir…her murderer…her regret
If anyone has been following my weight loss journey, I lost another .8 this morning at weigh in. Hey, it’s not earth shattering but at least the scale is going down, down, down…right where I want it to go. I want to reach my goal weight by my birthday March 18 and guess what…I think I might be pretty close! Yippee!!!! 🙂

Happy Monday everyone! Is that legal to say? 🙂

Well, I barely made it out of my driveway this morning thanks to a sheet of ice that was covering my long, country lane. After some fancy foot work and expert car maneuvers, I was able to get a grip on it and get on my merry way.

Where was I going you might ask? Well, every Monday I go to Weight Watchers and have been going for the last two years!

In my first year, I lost 52 pounds! I was on cloud nine and only a few pounds away from my goal. But like most of us, I am an emotional eater and my baby (pure bred male Rottweiler) Kurgan got diagnosed with cancer and I started eating again! But, the good news is, I only gained about 15 pounds back and I am on the track to losing that too!

This morning at weigh in, I was down another 2.8 pounds! It feels great to be a loser! 🙂

It also feels great to be met with a challange or a hurdle in our way and face it head on and overcome it. That kind of road block is what I talk about in my new book, THE RAINBOW WON’T WAIT, now out on Amazon.com.

I had always been thin and as I got older, life threw me a curve ball back in 1998 when I was told I was pregnant with twin boys! I was overjoyed more than ever since I had been told I would never be able to have children.

Well, that dream died about four months later when I miscarried both boys, a week apart. I was beyond crushed and devastated and I packed on 70 pounds!

It was not until about four months later that a little black and brown bear of a Rottweiler came into my life. He was only 10 weeks old but I fell in love at first sight. Today, at almost 14 years old, Kurgan is the love of my life!

Get this…he was born on October 18, 1998…the night I lost my second twin son!

I give credit and thanks to Kurgan for keeping me alive during that time and in another dark time in my life, losing my mother to cancer back in 2006. As you will see in THE RAINBOW WON’T WAIT, one tragedy after another fell on me after her death and I didn’t think, nor did I want to survive.

But it was the love of a puppy who was now a grown boy who brought me back from the brink of death and saved me once again.

I don’t know what I am going to do one day when he has to leave me, I cry just thinking about it. But with the love and support of my wonderful family, I will get through it.

So, you see, whether it’s trying to lose weight, struggling with a miscarriage or another type of death, we are all entitled to hit our lowest points in our life. But we are also stronger than we think we are and we are survivors.

I hope you enjoy reading THE RAINBOW WON’T WAIT, and you find comfort there as well.

A dying mother’s advice for the obstinate daughter she is leaving behind. When the author lost her mother in 2006, she could have been a better daughter. She tried to be the daughter that her mother wanted and needed at this time of sorrow but she didn’t know how to be that person. In a collection of short pieces of advice, the author has put together words of comfort and wisdom that her Cherokee mother gave her over the years. She never knew at the time, that this advice would help her as she took care of a dying parent. It also served as a catalyst to help her regain her footing after a series of tragedies following her mother’s death, left her in a crippling, suicidal depression for three years.

A story of hope, inspiration and how a briar of a child became the flower that her mother always dreamed of…but died before she got a chance to see her bloom.

Now available in eBook on Amazon.com for only $1.99!

If you don’t have a Kindle that’s okay! You can go to my author profile and download it right onto your computer for the same price!
